Homeschooling in CA Without Credentials Illegal
A recent ruling in CA didn't change anything but affirmed the law that you cannot home school in CA unless you have a teaching credential. Your kid must be in a public or private school with a credentialed teacher, or tutored at home by someone with credentials. Part of the inconsistency in the law or the ruling is that private school teachers in California are not required to have a credential.
Some creative individual might set-up a private school and "hire" all the parents in the state as teachers -- and then allow them to teach from home using the curriculum of their own choosing.
And let's not forget that our children must be made into productive, compliant members of the future workforce. Gag me...
