Seven Keys to Effective Church Planting
I really enjoyed this article: Seven Keys to Effective Church Planting. Here's the first effective key:1. More effective church planters spend more time in prayer. The more time spent in prayer, the more effective the church planter. Regardless of field difficulties, those who prayed more tended to be more effective. The most effective church planters average four hours and 15 minutes more in prayer per week than their less effective colleagues. |

I am amused...
I think there is probably a similar relationship between time spent in prayer and everything we try to do for the Kingdom, in the Spirit. More prayer, all the way up to constant prayer (as Paul witnesses), yields more effectiveness.
But how thoroughly modern, to reduce it to statistics! So if I just add four hours and 15 minutes, divided by seven days...let's see... 36.42857 more minutes of prayer time per day... I'll be more effective? Or will the rounding error throw me back into ineffectiveness?
Or is it that if prayer is a priority, if I spend more time focused in active relationship and communion with God, I'm going to be more effective in His Kingdom work?
A great message - don't get so busy doing God's Kingdom work that you don't spend time with God.
But the statistics amuse me... (grin)
