Beer battle brewing in Alabama - Los Angeles Times
It's against the law to home brew in Alabama or possess a beer that is over 6% alcohol, unless you purchase them from an out of state vendor and have them shipped to a state warehouse where you pay taxes on them and certify they are for personal use. There are now groups attempting to have these laws repealed but are facing opposition from Southern Baptists. Some Baptists are worried about drunkenness and the potential for young people to get a hold of them. |
