Silence That Idiot Box and Give Your Kids A Break Jeff Jacoby writes in a Boston Globe Op-Ed piece, "If television came in a bottle, it would be illegal to sell it to children."  Apparently science and scholarship agree that television watching is bad for your child's physical and emotional health and has a negative impact on their education.  Yet so many of us do it.  We do it for entertainment.  We use it for a babysitter.  We use it for 'education'.  I wonder what would happen to our culture and our families if we just turned TV off.  Nobody gets to the end of their life and says, "I wish I watched more TV."
