So You Don't Want to Go to Church Anymore by Jake Colsen Have you read this story?  I guess I'm a little late to the game and many people have read it already but it came to my attention just late week.  A beloved friend of mine is scheming and thinking about new ministry paradigms.  He almost believes that the whole church paradigm that we currently have of paid professional clergy, weekly worship services, owning property, etc. should be disbanded.  The whole goal of higher church attendance should be done away with. In it's place he sees a paradigm similar to what is seen in the end of the Jake Colsen parable/story.  Christians going out to live like Jesus, influencing others to do follow him and meeting together to minister and care for each as motivated by the Spirit — not because they have to. On the one hand, it's such a drastic paradigm shift that it's hard to get one's head around it.  On the other hand, I've sorta, kinda seen this done and it is very refreshing.
